Kuta - The Rising Star

It took a little while before Kuta was noticed in the Kerewong paddock. When he arrived as a 6 year old, looking like a naughty fat little pony, far from anything Arabian, he needed some serious trail work and endurance training before changing his frame into something remarkable. But then suddenly the cheeky boy was seen and now stands out in the herd with his beautiful long thick frizzy black mane and tail.

His initially short striding pony walk and trot developed into Arabian floating extensions and everybody is thrilled to watch when the naughty boy is running around the paddock, not wanting to get caught. Much to Kathy's frustration Kuta is the only Kerewong horse that is difficult to catch in the paddock.

Usually hanging around with one of his childhood friends (Jimmy and Valentino) or his big best friend Nadal, Kuta has powerful friends who look after him in the paddock. His friends actually have regular play fights about who is Kuta's best friend.  

Kuta arrived at Kerewong together with Jimmy and their first weeks together bonded the 2 horses for life. Kuta, a young friendly dreamy boy, is bossed around but also protected by dominant and arrogant Jimmy.

Kuta came with Jimmy almost as a freebie, the little bonus buy boy, who no one noticed for his first year at Kerewong and who we expected to always stand in Jimmy's shadow.

However when Kuta's training finally started he surprised everybody with his excellent trail - and endurance - horse talent and a real zest for going into the Australian bush, up and down hills, jumping over little logs and fallen trees, hop over ditches and washed out tracks, pick his way through muddy trails, up and down slippery hills, all no problem for nimble little Kuta. Super-surefooted, his steps never missing a beat, he's a little diesel engine which just goes and goes and goes.

And he is fast if needed, super fast when he gets the chance. Loads of energy, easy to maneuver around the trails, a love for playing in water, creeks and the ocean, this amazing little horse is so much fun on the trails and will do it all for you - if you can catch him in the paddock!
