Southern Cross Horse Treks - Tourist Information
Horse Riding Holidays Port Macquarie Hinterland Region - Mid North Coast NSW Australia
Tourism In Lorne Valley Australian East Coast NSW
Southern Cross Horse Treks is located in the beautiful Lorne Valley near the small rural township of Kendall in the Camden Haven hinterland region of the Mid North Coast of New South Wales Australia, south-east of the coastal town of Port Macquarie.
The Greater Port Macquarie region is renowned for its beautiful natural scenery and pleasant climate and offers the ideal setting for a horse riding experience through different terrain - quiet little bush trails, mountain 4WD tracks, pockets of rainforest, clean creeks and rivers, green rolling dairy farmland and panoramic views of the Comboyne Plateau and fantastic beaches for horseback riding.
Horse riding is the priority during the horse riding tours with Southern Cross Horse Treks and most of the days are filled with horse riding with little time left to do other activities like exploring the area. There are however many other tourist attractions & holiday activities in the NSW Mid North Coast region. These include stunning coastal walks, pristine beaches, surfing, fishing, kayaking, waterfalls, lookouts, Australian wildlife watching, bird-watching, bush-walking, national parks, golf courses, wineries, Port Macquarie and Taree coastal tourist towns, Koala-hospital, historic Timbertown and Port Macquarie Whale Watching tours (season is May to November).
It is recommended that non-riding guests of Kerewong have a (rental) car to explore the area while travel companions are horse riding. Non-riders can sometimes travel in the Southern Cross Horse Treks' 4WD support vehicle through the State Forest to join the riders for lunch or may choose to simply relax near the pool on the "Kerewong" property.
